How well do you know your body?

Updated: Mar 3, 2020

Did you know that the uterus is a mobile organ? Yes, the uterus can (and often does) move which is beneficial in times like pregnancy but at other times can be problematic. The uterus is held in place by 14 ligaments but it can slip out of place because of distorted or inelastic connective tissue.

Adhesions can also form causing restrictions in optimal alignment of the uterus.

Why is this important?

Because in order to receive healthy blood flow to the uterus (and from the uterus) we need proper alignment. As a bodyworker it is common knowledge that restricted blood flow or stagnation= pain.

Also restricted blood flow means restricted flow of hormones (aka hormonal imbalance which can cause many issues for women) and restricted emotional flow.

The good news is uterine misalignment can easily be addressed with massage and many of the common reproductive ailments of women (endometriosis, fibroids, PCOS, painful periods, irregular cycles, incontinence and prolapse) can be helped with a natural non-invasive  protocol of massage and herbal medicine. This is why I trained in Arvigo Therapy because there are other options for women's reproductive health and it's about time we demanded a better option than cutting our uterus out or suppressing our menstrual cycles.
