What is your cycle trying to tell you?
Updated: Mar 3, 2020
I get questions from women all the time about how to "fix" their cycles and I always say your period is not an issue that needs to be fixed.
I like to encourage women to look deeper into these symptoms for a root cause. I see these symptoms as a guide back to the root of what needs to be healed. Every symptom is a healing opportunity. For example, if you have a heavy period I may ask if there is a need to release heavy emotions and a need to receive more nourishment (to build your blood after your cycle). If you have fibroids I may ask if you have felt the need to repress your emotions or creative energy.
With endometriosis I would ask about your boundaries, how grounded you are in your body, how much attention you give to others over your self and if you experience struggles with codependency.
If you suffer from prolapse I would ask if you feel supported or that you can support yourself.
The womb has much to teach us if we are ready to listen. Cultivating a relationship with your womb will open up the gateway to healing not only physically but spiritually and emotionally as well.
