Our menstrual cycles are an indicator of health, and not just physical health. Our cycles reflect our mental, emotional and spiritual health as well.

Have you ever missed your period or had a late period because of stress?

This is because a healthy period can not occur without healthy ovulation and your body will not ovulate if you are under a significant amount of stress.

In order to ovulate, we need a healthy endocrine and reproductive system (aka balanced hormones)

It's nearly impossible for hormones to stay balanced during times of chronic stress. When the body is in homeostasis hormones stay balanced and promote a healthy cycle.

Balanced hormones and a healthy menstrual cycle are not just important for those of us wanting to get pregnant. Hormones do so much more for us than make babies.

For example, regular ovulation plays a key role in reducing the risk of breast cancer by ensuring adequate progesterone production during the postovulatory phase of the menstrual cycle.

To sum it up, a healthy menstrual cycle=a healthy woman.
